Episode 5: James Edward Raggi IV and Lamentations of the Flame Princess

Tonight’s guest is game designer James Edward Raggi IV, the author and creator of the Lamentations of the Flame Princess — a “weird fantasy role-playing game.” Originally published in 2010, Lamentations of the Flame Princess is much more than just another Open Game License twist on the World’s Most Popular Role Playing Game. In an effort to share the style of his own campaign with the world, James drew from some unusual influences when creating Lamentations, from death metal music to underground horror movies to explicit album cover art. Tonight we’re going to talk to James about all of this and more.
